Ghost Adventures-Celtic Demons

"It's deeper than you perceive as paranormal."

That utterance from Zak Bagans in the woods surrounding The Hell Fire Club is something that at some point in a true paranormal investigator/researcher's life we all utter when we are dangerously close to the light.

I'm not talking about the light when you die, I'm talking about the light that allows one to see into the darkness.  The light that allows one to see what the darkness holds.

I actually found this year's Halloween episode hard to sit through the first time.  I had to go back and watch it on DVR and take notes, disconnect myself from the emotion, the disturbing emotion.

First up was the place where the Goddess Morrigan is said to arrive from:

Zak seemed a bit giddy at the opportunity to possibly come in contact with Morrigan.   Morrigan is not one to be toyed with, period.  She comes or calls you, you should never call her.  She is one of the Pagan Goddesses who will stalk you through your waking and dreaming hours.

If she likes you.  If she does not you are in for one hell of a life.

Although, I saw Zak's features seem to change I can not say for sure they had any actual contact with the Goddess.  Blessed Be is all I would have said at the end of that day.

The guys broke up, Zak and Aaron went up to the Hell Fire Club on Montpelier Hill and I think they took that on because of Aaron's history with the Hell Fire Caves in England and the ritual he did there.

 I visited there on my tour of Ireland.  The good thing about having Irish roots, my dad has family there.  I was not very comfortable there, during the day.  It seems to be a bit of a ramshackle place, cold, dark and dank.  I will agree that a ring of salt does in fact signal some sort of calling.  The person(s) standing inside are in it to protect themselves from what they are calling.

You see both Zak and Aaron become more aggressive, rude and hostile toward each other during their visit.  Aaron's voice even changes while trying to keep Zak out of the one room.

I did use my headphones on the TV and listen to the male EVP, it sounded to me like the male voice said, "I killed the or that woman".

I wonder if Aaron brought that stone back home with him.

They had glass & pebbles seem to move on the floor, you can hear like something scratching at the dirt. After their experience the night before this was where I had to leave the room, I was myself becoming so emotional, I just wanted to hug Aaron because I know the feeling and I will say this, weather Zak, Nick or Aaron ever read this blog,

What has been chosen as your path, you have to look inside yourself and be right with yourself to look the devil in the face and walk away.  You WILL be scarred, inside and that never goes away but you will learn what you need to learn. Always be careful what you wish for.

Nick and Billy took to investigating Leap Castle.  When I visited there I wasn't sorely impressed except for the dark figure in the Bloody Chapel.  Myself and my dad's cousin did witness a dark figure in there, seemingly trying to "hug" the wall.  It moved along the wall in a snake like fashion along the floor, I left quickly as I became very queasy and uneasy.

Again, you see a change in Nick, he becomes emotional, agitated, and his voice changes.  He did seem as if something might have been trying to attach itself to him.

Upon listening to the EVP he captured, it sounded like, "something grandmother".

The Steward's House:  Ok, I myself happen to love black cats but what the hell.  Zak, Nick and Aaron come to town and a black cat appears.  That poor guy was terrified he had seen a black cat. I will say it takes balls to keep poking evil things.  It was Albert Einstein who once said, the definition of Insanity is to keep doing the same things over and over expecting different results.  In the case of GAC it may lead to insanity.

Jay turned the painting upside down, Zak looked it in the eye.  They heard loud noises, footsteps, a cat meow and a lady screaming.

Let's talk a sec about the Banshee,  I have heard a Banshee.  I was lying in my bed and it screamed right in my ear.  My father passed away one year later, so the Banshee is something I will attest to believing in.

The Noooooooo in the woods as not a Banshee cry BUT the one heard while inside the Steward's house sure as hell sounded like it.

Loftus Hall:  Ok, I'll admit I did take the tour of the house when they opened it for tours.  Personally I would have loved to go upstairs.  The energy there is amazing, I'd live there and love to restore it to it's old glory. It is hella creepy when the fog overtakes it but....

I did hear through headphones when they had the SB7 in the Tapestry Room what sounded like singing, that was weird.

When Zak was on the third floor I did hear, "I knew you would help or come". That EVP was creepy because it is whispered and seemed to be directed at Zak himself as if whoever said it knew he would come.  The he being Zak or is it some sort of residual just repeating the same phrase to all who enther the third floor.

This was a rough episode for me to watch & I know through what Zak & Aaron for the most part have tweeted about their experience (Aaron has posted a blog about it). They were more aggressive, rude, and nasty to each other.  I do feel it was a direct result of poking at evil things on a continued basis.

Nick did not seem "present". He seemed detached from the whole experience, more so after being in the bloody chapel.

Aaron just seemed not to fully grasp (yet) what has happened.  All I can say is there is light at the end of that tunnel it just takes a lot of work.

Zak, well, Zak is a whole other ball game.  He is in the darkness, I'll call him out on that.  I've been there.  I have travelled the same road and he'll get his answers, he may not believe them or want them but he'll get them.  I think Zak's answers are where it all started.  I don't believe Zak truly understands what he is asking for and I hope he can handle it when he gets it.

In the paranormal some are allowed to touch evil or evil touches us. I think in the case of the GAC, Zak has touched, Nick and Aaron have been touched.   It's how you handle it that makes you able to deal.

Overall I enjoyed the Halloween special, I would have liked a bit more of the history as Ireland has loads of history involving the paranormal and the beliefs, some of which are still practiced today.

Zak Bagans Demon House

So fans of The Ghost Adventures tweet Zak all the time asking about his "demon house".
Well here is a bit of an answer as to what's going on with it.

He returns to the house in December to finish filming a documentary on the house but wow, can't wait to see this "excorsism" of a girl that went into the house, I doubt she had been invited in but LOL

http://www.tmz.com/2014/10/31/ghost-adventures-demon-house-haunted-hell-portal-exorcism/

The video may not play, not sure if it's set that way or if there is a problem with the TMZ web site.

Ghost Adventures-Island of the Dolls

I'll admit knowing that Zak Bagans is, you could say terrified of dolls (as witnessed by the look on his face)

That's pretty much the look I had on my face when I visited the island back in 1998 when Don Julian was still alive.  I went during the day and I love seeing others visit.  I loved when Josh Gates & the Destination Truth crew went.  Zak and Aaron had a few of the same experiences that crew had, mostly the lights.

I ignored most of the "set-up" knowing the history and watched when night fell.  I saw the fire spark from behind the chair & waited for the guys to comment, an invite perhaps? Have a seat?

I am sorry Zak, I found your reaction hysterical BUT only as someone who has been to the island, has hated dolls her entire life (I used to pay my brothers to throw them on the roof whenever my mom bought me one) and to see you have the same sort of reaction I just found funny, I do hope it helped you cope a bit with your fear, kudos to you and Aaron for taking it on.

My trip there was during the day and the canals were creepy, black and there was a weird smell I couldn't put my finger on.  While walking around there were whispers, like people talking off in the trees and you couldn't see them.  The strange frequency and something that sounds like singing, We were told the locals say that is the mermaids calling, I heard it as we were getting back on the boats to leave.

The dolls were creepy yes, but come on, they are mostly old, rotting and why wouldn't a spirit want to have a blast scaring the tourists, which it wasn't such a tourist spot when I went. It was an interesting personal experience, would I go back?  Hell yeah!!  Would I go at night? Nope!!
and if I saw a spider the island might go up in flames.

Now for Harold, I get the experiment to see if the spirit(s) inhabiting Harold might come out and either stay on the island or somehow interact with at least one of the spirits but it really seemed Old Harold was going to have none of that.  I think the spirit(s) inside Harold may have had an influence on the energy.  I would have forgotten Harold on the island, accidently on purpose.

I think that Zak went there knowing what was in store and having a pre-existing fear of dolls might have been a bit worked up (natural).

I would love to see the guys do an investigation where they don't know where they are going (would have to be US of course, since you can't take a blindfolded passenger on a plane) and watch to see what they get from the location, a blind investigation.

Next week is The Halloween episode, Celtic Demons, can't wait.  Leap Castle and Hellfire Club.  I've again been to both and will watch with interest to see what they capture.

Yes, I travel a lot

The interesting thing, a black cat in a village where there hadn't been one seen in forever. Yet, Zak appears and a black cat appears, interesting.

You can see Aaron's VLogs on the travel channel webbie,

http://www.travelchannel.com/tv-shows/ghost-adventures/episodes/irelands-celtic-demons

It will also be interesting since the Halloween episode is rumored to be Nick's last.

Ghost Adventures-Zozo Demon House

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!

Ok, I'm going to be blunt & honest in this blog post. If you have not seen the show and do not want to know anything read no farther.

If you disagree with what I write, oh well. From my life long personal experiences with spirits, demons and a Zozo calling I may say things that piss off the everyday Ghost Adventures viewer who watched last night's episode, so, moving on.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
First off, I did get physically ill watching last night's show.  It was chaotic, fractured and there was no actual lock down.
Zak, as much as one might think he had his shit together, did not.  He was affected by the presence. He ended up going and sitting alone, looking a bit strange.
Nick, Also affected.  He looked for a bit like something was trying to take control or enter his body.
Aaron, where the hell was Aaron. Hardly saw or heard him, that worries me.
Jay, Well he got closure but what's attached to Darren, not so much. I was not shocked at all that Jay did what he did.
Those who have read this blog know I have had an encounter with a Zozo demon in Africa.  What I saw in last night's Ghost Adventures while very scary and something to be very worried about was in my opinion  not an actual Zozo Demon.  It was more some dark entity playing at being one.
The way a Zozo appears is very specific from what I've always been told.  The fact that everyone involved was affected by the entity from the smell of feces to the feelings of an electricity charged environment and the separating of the entire team says demon activity.  The one thing I did not hear anyone say was that they smelled sulpher which comes along with demon activity but not attachments.
I have read the accounts of the demon house activity over the years and although I feel it is not a Zozo demon it is some kind of demon. However, what is attached to Darren is something that can be controlled and banished/bound.
Darren, the owner of the home started with, in his words, a menacing but beautifully handcrafted double sided Ouija which was found underneath a girlfriend's grandmother's home. It was surrounded by old lightning jars each with a preserved blackbird inside. The jars were covered in an oily white grease like substance. He managed to clear away some of it and upon holding it up to the sun he found himself staring into the blood filled eyes of a very well preserved blackbird!
The dark side of the board had Zozo inscribed in place of the Ouija, with wings on each side. Strange symbols were also carved into the board, along with candle wax drippings, sinewed strategically all over, some forming tentacles that actually continued over to the other side, a large William Fuld squared off board. Almost looking like the dark side was latched onto the other side.
Now, although this might signal someone using this board to call a Zozo this is not how HooDoo priests call a Zozo. This is however how VooDoo priests and other dabblers in the dark arts call and or bind a demon/spirit entity and that is all I will say on the subject of calling/binding.
Whatever was bound to this board was released when it was dug up and subsequently attached itself to Darren. After my reaction to just the film and only scenes which Darren was in.  The entity is not actually within the house it is attached to Darren and if you watch anyone who comes near him is affected.  It enjoys his energy. I am in no way saying Darren is not affected by this entity, he has an attachment who likes him. His wife being attacked, his daughter being attacked was because the entity wants him and him alone.
I was not surprised by my reaction, I expected to get ill from this. The only other time I have had a reaction to a Ghost Adventures episode is Bobby Mackey's and I refuse to watch that just like I refuse to go into the place itself.
Now to deal with the "Kill, Nick" piece.  If you know how spirits communicate and how an Oujia works this in no way actually meant KILL Nick.  This was a very telling piece since we all know what has happened with Zak, Nick & Aaron (Nick only filmed 6 shows of season 10).
What the entity (and I'm not saying it was the same entity that is attached to Darren)it found a weakness within the team and has exploited it.  The team is now fractured and separated.  After ten seasons of hearing how Zak has had attachments and watching him squirm while the protection/cleansing was being performed and how Zak wandered off alone I would venture to guess it is an entity attachment on Zak.
Robert Murch is 100% right when he says, it's what you believe.  There are spirits/demons who have a wait and see attitude.  They wait for who is open to them and take advantage. Divination devices such as Oujia boards, Tarot cards, dice, Witch stones are all just that, used for asking and answering questions from spirits.  It all revolves around knowing how to use the devices, opening circles and being responsible and closing them. It is all how much stock you put into the beliefs but understanding the ancient beliefs is something everyone must do to be responsible when using such items.
Not understanding the history is irresponsible and leaves not only yourself open to the things that go bump in the night but your family, friends, others.  When I left my old house (which was horridly over run with spirits) I did a closing so that the next owners might not have the problems I grew up with, I hope everyday it worked.
Ghost Adventures Queen Mary Episode
I knew watching Ghost Adventures Queen Mary episode that the part of the phrase Billy and Jay received I had seen/heard before,
"A fifth of the low-life of the fourth, of that.......But that will move the fifth......the -if the fifth......"
"5 Gate"
These I had heard in my travels and talks about dimensions and how spirits may move between dimension 4 and 5.  Since our life is based in the 3rd dimension it is believed by some that the spirit world(s) are based in the 4th and/or the 5th dimension.
It being said that when we first pass away the spirit passes into the 4th dimension.  There it stays or may pass to the higher 5th dimension.  In the 5th dimension some spirits can accomplish what is known as a "breakthrough".
A breakthrough is when a spirit known it has passed yet can harness enough energy to, Breakthrough the dimension and give short burst messages like the one above.
The message Billy and Jay received I had seen before in several books and internet sights devoted to how our souls pass.
These are Hopi Prophecies, Summa Theologica, What Happens When We Die, The Awakened State, even Dante's Inferno speaks of this.  The message is there the spirit communicating with Billy and Jay was probably so excited someone could finally "hear" it that it got a bit mixed up and the message came out a tiny bit jumbled, that's for us, the living to figure out what it meant.  Or you can just look up Ezekiel 1:1 because the same quote is mentioned there, maybe the spirit is pointing to a prayer.
5 Gate, your solider.  Since the ship was used during time of war, there are many references to 5 gate and solider.
As for the black shadow walking past the door, when the tape is slowed down you can see it looks like the entity is about 6'4" or 5" wearing what is referred to in the military as a pea coat (the long black wool coats with big buttons) worn by the men in the military at the time.  The backpack looks like what they called a ruck sack.  They carried all their gear in.
I've been to the Queen Mary several times while living in Southern California. Did my own investigating and never heard/saw a little girl.  But my own experience has always been something darker looking for justification.
My Demon Experiences
Now talking about my Zozo experience has opened a door with so many questions SO, here goes.
My demon background comes from an experience I had at 12 years old, well before my Zozo experience.  The demon came to me, I never called him. He was a big black f*cker with red eyes, that experience terrified me for months until I got up enough guts to try to figure out what the hell it was. I studied demons all the way back to ancient times and still study. What has me scared is that there are people who make up demons (like Slender Man) and kids/people truly believe it exists.  I never jump straight to anything being a demon, a demon is my last thought, when I have all the facts.
I still haven't figured out who the red eyed demon was but I've had two experiences with seeing the same demon and the same demon offering me something in return for him giving me what I want.  Now, this demon is always around I say he is semi-attached because I don't feel/see him all the time.  But if I were to call (yes I admit, I tried it) he is right there and THAT is why I refuse to call demons of any kind, it is very dangerous.
What I believe about demons:
and as I type this there is an overwhelming scent of rose roses in a brand spanking new house that not one person has ever worn that scent in.
I do not believe demons or spirits can haunt items, I do however believe demons and spirts can be bound to items.  Even tho I do know how to do binding spells no, I will not bind any spirit, demon or entity to any object unless forced to do so by their behavior.
I do believe and have used/witnessed that kosher salt can form a barrier spirits/demons can not cross. ( I will write about this)
I do believe and have witnessed the power of black onyx against evil and use it everyday. (I will write about this)
I do believe and have used/witnessed the use of sage, sage ash and red brick against evil, and those living seeking to harm. (I will write about this)
I'm still on the fence about orbs being anything but energy. Spirits that can not form but have the ability to zip around.
I do believe lighting storms can contribute to higher incidence of paranormal activity as can magnetic energy, natural or man made.
From my experiences with/in the paranormal no one person knows everything, it is case by case, experience by experience it's the experience of the investigator that helps figure out what road to take and where his/her help lies.
Zozo Demons
As an empath I experience a lot of things on a daily basis.  Some of that stuff is silly, funny, sad, weird or just down right sadistic & mean.
A Zozo demon is something that I had a brush with years ago on one of my many travels.  I have seen/heard about what is referred to As, "The Zozo House" story, I reserve judgement because you do not simply call a Zozo demon by simply using a Oujia board. So, yes I am saying there are holes in the story.
Calling a primordial demon is not easy, it's not a party trick, it's not fun and games.
Now that I've established what it's not, what is it.
I had my brush with a Zozo demon many moons ago while on a trip to Africa.  I went the with the specific intent of seeing the priests conjure one in a HooDoo ritual.  A friend said he knew of some priests who could do it if I really wanted to put myself in that position, hell yes I did and I jumped at the chance.
It was a four hour ride by jeep to the tribe and I kind of felt I might end up in a pot by days end it was so far out.  I didn't but what I came away with was something that changed that way I live my life.
I am no longer afraid of death and I say that not only because of the brush with Zozo but because since that brush I have almost died three times, all three times in the presence of some sort of demon.
I was in Africa on a medical mission and I've been to many far flung locations with an OB/Gyn I used to work for.  I always took the opportunity to learn about the culture of the place we were.  I got to see a real VooDoo ritual in Haiti and in New Orleans.  I have gotten to witness a real Santeria ritual in Brazil, I've seen Satanic and Vampire rituals.  But being in Africa I made it a point that I wanted to see this ritual, I now admit it was probably a mistake.  Am I afraid I will incur some wrath of a Zozo, No!
Plain and simple from the way I was told a Zozo cannot touch me as I did not summon it (as with any demon). It can however wreak havoc on you because of the energy it carries when you are present for the calling ritual.  Zozo is what's considered a Class one demon, meaning primordial,(predates man) created from the muck that made the universe.  These demons are very powerful and once unleased to do a person's bidding, very dangerous.  If you do not understand how to control and re-contain it, it can cause a lot of havoc in the area it was summond to.
If you have read my blog about the various kinds of demons you notice there is no mention of Zozo, that's because I tend to try to stir clear of a Zozo.
What does it feel like for an empath to be in the presence of a Zozo.  First off when I am in the presence of ANY spirit or demon I can feel anything from giddy and silly if it may be a child to downright feeling of pain, dying and being overwhelmed, it depends on the energy of the spirit.
While I sat on the dirt and straw floor of the priest's hut the priests entered into what many call an "opening", where you open yourself up to the spirit world.  As an empath I am always open, I can not close but I can block out energy.
They chanted, swayed, their eyes rolled up in their head. Nothing I hadn't seen in VooDoo rituals so I wasn't scared, yet.
It was when from the middle of said dirt floor a black blob appeared.  At first I thought, what the hell and rubbed my eyes, nope still there, I realized it was being brought up from the earth.  The air in the room got thick and smelled like someone had just dug a grave. That damp, musty smell of fresh dirt.
As they continued to chat, eyes rolled up, nothing but the whites of their eyes showed.  I started tingling, the hairs on the back of my neck and arms stood.  There was a palatable electricity in the air and the blob continued to grow.  It filled the space in the exact center of the room in front of the priest who was chanting.  Remember these are what's known in the paranormal world as HooDoo priests.  They preform ancient rights and rituals.
The blob never actually formed into anything like a person. It was just a very large black blob that slowly swayed to the chanting of the priest, it looked like a huge blob of tar.  I felt sadness, hate, anger, despair all at once. Modern medicine would have told me I was having a nervous breakdown, tears rolling down my face, I was having trouble breathing.  If you have ever had a panic attack, that's what it felt like.  The energy was just so massive, hateful, mean and undirected that it set off a panic attack.
The priest finally released the Zozo back to where it came and I was allowed to leave the hut but boy when I walked outside it felt like I had gotten electrocuted.  All the feelings at once, the massive amount of energy the Zozo carried was overwhelming.  It took me days to get control of myself.
I would cry at the drop of a hat, at nothing. I would start laughing suddenly. People probably thought I was just a crazy American.  It was not fun, I thought I was going crazy, I could feel every person's emotions that I came into contact with.  It took me almost a year to be able to function normally again.
I do not and never will condone anyone coming into contact with that much energy.  Anyone who calls a Zozo without the knowledge and ability to banish it back is plain stupid and or has a death wish because there is a give and take when dealing with these demons, the priest doing the chanting was fourty-two years old, he looked eighty. Some will say it's because they live in Africa and I will always attest to that it's the demons.
I have learned how to call spirits but I will never learn or try to call a demon.  I've learned how to banish spirits and demons but I will never try to banish a Zozo.  Do I think that energy is still lurking around, of course.  Primordial energy is everywhere and Zozo is just waiting for someone dumb enough to call it out.
I will watch with detached anticipation as the Ghost Adventures tv show goes into the "Zozo Demon House".  I know Zak Bagans had a terrible time afterward, All I can say to him (and others) once you are exposed to that kind of energy, it knows you are there and is always around, be careful what you wish for from now on.
Weird thing to see
I've seen some pretty weird things in my life and the other day, in broad daylight I saw another.
This is a rough sketch of what I saw. Behind my house is a five foot line between fences. The house being built behind us is not yet finished and no one is living in it, the fence posts had just been put in and because of rain not a living person was working there.
I was in my kitchen, something caught my eye and when I looked I saw this (above).
Now, knowing that our wood fence is 6 feet high, the shoulders of this were at the top of the fence while the long neck and head with a black hat was at least three feet above that, making it NINE FEET tall.
It was all black, black hat as well and moved very slowly through the area between the fences. As I watched it, it never looked at me and upon reaching the middle of the neighbor's fence it vanished.  I have not seen it again but it leaves me wondering just what the hell it was and if it is still lurking around and I have just not seen it.
Photo of the back fence for reference as to height.
Living Empathic
There are those in this world who are indeed very strange people, I call them empaths.
They are kind of like Deanna Troi from Star Trek, they can feel emotions from others.
I found out I was empathic at ten.  I would go to the mall and "hear" all these people "talking", I would "hear" people "crying", I stopped going to the mall for years, I feared (and still do) crowds and crowed places.  I prefer and have learned to do things alone because dealing with other peoples emotions makes things harder.
The hardest place I EVER worked was a vet's office.  I could feel the emotions from the animals, HATED IT would be an understatement. I was an emotional wreck every single day, and to some point pretty sure I still carry those scars.
I eventually learned how to close myself to others "feelings" so If we ever meet and I don't shake your hand please don't take it personally.
There are times I will open myself up, first dates are always fun.  You can really tell if the guy is just out for a one night stand & sometimes you can know what he's gonna say before he says it.  I know it makes me creepy to do that but I figure why waste my time....it's probably why I'm not married and usually date for sex, which even sex is hard because you FEEL the other person.  Now, if you are with the right person it's a fantastic experience that can freak out those who do not understand it's not a party trick and this is 24/7/365.
I use this empathic ability to investigate the paranormal.  Using it for "talking" to spirits can be very dangerous.
1. You rarely walk into a location knowing who you will be "talking" with.
2. There could be other spirits around who want to talk.
3. There could always be a demon lurking in the shadows just waiting for the opportunity to get ahold of an open empath.
4.  Turning it off isn't an easy process however, turning it on is easier.
Being an empath and sensing spirits isn't only about feeling the static in the air or the environment change.  You can (if taught) hear them before the come up and hit you.  You can hear them from far away coming at you because it will sound like a train off in the distance and the sound gets louder and the air gets heavier, your head will start to spin, the pressure on top of you gets heavier, feeling as if you are being pushed down.
Being an empath is a rough life, it is not easy and there will always be those that either think you're full of shit, even when you tell them something no one other than them could possibly know, Or that you are a walking, talking party trick.  I really advise people who are empathic not to use it like a party trick and be very careful who you allow into that experience because others energy can effect you.
A good empath is constantly cleansing to keep the dark energy away, it's a frame of mind more than sage & crystals (but they don't hurt).
Bigfoot: Should We Really Find Them?
Bigfoot, Yowie, Abominable Snowman, Mapinguari, Sasquach, Yeti, Kapre, Batutut.  Bigfoot is known around the world and has been the stuff of legend and as a society Big Foot is still the most endearing of all myth and folklore mainly because we still haven’t captured one nor have we found any bones to prove that a large, bi-pedal ape like/humanoid walks the earth, living, or maybe hiding from the society that “hunts” it.
There are stories going back decades if not centuries of the Bigfoot creature being seen in the
Remote wilderness regions of the United States {Asian varieties of Bigfoot are the things of myth as well}.  The indigenous peoples of the pacific northwest often told stories of “Wildman” who lived in the wilderness,  Australia has the Yowie, who has been reported to attack people.  Although most scientists today tend to discount Bigfoot as a hoax {there have been plenty of those} or misidentification, like when the crew of Fact or Faked had a member dress in a Ghillie Suit and low and behold Bigfoot so in reality some reports could very well be misidentification of hunters roaming the woods of the south.
But what about shows like Finding Bigfoot, where a team of, for lack of a better word, investigators amble about in the dark beating sticks and howling in the woods.  The BFRO: The Bigfoot Field Research Organization, founded in 1995 by Matt Moneymaker, believes Bigfoot exists and are the very “investigators” out beating the bushes {or trees} trying to get a call back.   Their website has a comprehensive database of sightings and upcoming expeditions that you can join in on {of course} .   You can report your own Bigfoot sighting and watch video of encounters across the US and becoming a member is invite only.
Bigfoot {should you ever encounter one} is described as a tall{6-9 foot} ape/human like figure with brown, reddish or black hair, although some have reported seeing ones with white hair.  There were reports in the 70’s in the Philippines by American service men of a white ape/human like creature who would stalk the bases and  would get run off nightly by base security, many would not talk about the Kapre.  It could have very well just been a white ape.  In the southern most towns/villages the Kapre is known as “The Tree Demon” who dwells in the trees, has red eyes and apparently smokes, who knew…
There have been foot castings galore, Josh Gates of Destination Truth even got one {and lots of attention} when his crew went hunting in Nepal-there Bigfoot is known as Yeti. The casters claiming the footprint to be that of Bigfoot. Some footprints have been ruled to be fakes but there are those that still leave you wondering, could there really be something THAT big roaming around out there.
I’ll admit I do find the theory of there being a Bigfoot exciting, finally finding out that all our ancestors didn’t die out and that we ended up the hybrid that won out, but then again I kind of hope Bigfoot is never found.  It would be a sad sad day in humanity when a dead, strung up Bigfoot is paraded from the woods by some half assed “hunters” who did it to get their fifteen minutes, patting each other on the back and we all know where it’ll go from there.
But, no Bigfoot has been found and to the chagrin of many “researchers” neither have any bones, droppings or real hair. {maybe thankfully}.  If Bigfoot is as smart as many say, maybe they bury their dead, bury their droppings and clean up after themselves, then again maybe they are just people who have been shunned by the very society who now hunts them, people who are afflicted with Hypertrichosis. After all I can holler and beat on trees, why couldn’t they.
Maybe finding Bigfoot will take having to go back  at researching from an anthropological standpoint.  Find where the largest number of sightings are {after tracking them for a year}, take a back hoe, shovels, picks, sifting screens etc…..and start digging, you’re bound to find something.  If not Bigfoot maybe to your wonderment something else or…..just maybe you find what you’ve been looking for.  Everyone out there is looking for a real Bigfoot but I have yet to see any real Bigfoot research.  Like I said, mainly just a lot of people camping out having bonfires and beating the bushes and howling hoping Bigfoot steps up, If I were Bigfoot I’d hide too.  There is always someone out there trying to kill the myth and take away the folklore.
So You Want To See A UFO?
If you ask someone if they want to see a UFO, the answer from most would probably be, "Hell Yeah!! so, it's a loaded question. The better question to ask might be what would you do if you saw one. I've been involved with UFO phenomena since I was twelve. I've been chased by a black helicopter down a freeway in California in the middle of the night. I've been escorted from "military" property, and I have always stood my ground. I know what I saw/felt/was told. I rarely discuss UFOs with people outside the "community", a community, with many, many, many levels, many, many, many stories, filled with many highly educated/intelligent people.
My first experience, in the US was the day before my eighth birthday. We had just moved from the Philippines, and starting a new school and all, I saw what I found out when I was twelve to have been "The Men In Black" and they were NOT from some movie. There were other things that happened in the Phillippines, but that I'll save for a book.
I was twelve when I saw my first silver disc, slowly going back and fourth across the mountain range we can see from the front of our house. I was sixteen when I saw my first cattle mutilation. Yes, at sixteen I knew what they were and what I was looking at and we were all informed to forget what we had seen. A field of dead cows, all mutilated in a grotesque way. I later found that the way they were mutilated was something often discussed within the UFO community.
At what point do you step off the edge of reality? There are real believers and those who think anyone who thinks we are not alone in this vast universe is looney tunes, cue bugs bunny, there is some damn good evidence to prove we are not alone. One wonders if they just don't want to see it. In the field of UFOs I have found, you don't always shoot the messenger. Listen with an open mind to what both sides have to say. The gap between the believer and Non-believer is getting smaller, largely due to technology like mass hand held video cameras, the hubble space telescope, {the now defunct} shuttle program, but also because many are no longer afraid to speak up, mainly at lectures where they may find one or two people who they can talk with.
I recently got the chance to sit-in on a lecture by Ben Hansen from SyFy's Fact or Faked, put on by Haunted Orange, Skywatch, UPIO, and going in I honestly thought it would just be this guy from TV trying to sell something, he makes some pretty damn good points. Points about being too wrapped up in technology and the media to make up your own mind where the evidence is concerned, not taking the news' word for it when the "evidence" has been whittled down to a 2 second sound bite, listening to his lecture there were points that were clean.
I have spent years listening to those who claim alien abduction, those who claim they have seen a UFO. I have sat in the back of MUFON meetings, UFO conferences, listening and taking notes. I have done my own skywatching, in California, Indiana, Michigan, Italy, England and South America. I have seen my share of lights in the sky. I have been able to lend credence to my own life long experiences. I'm still not sure what I saw or have experienced after all these years but I know none of the technology was made on this planet.
Ben demonstrates an effective knowledge of all things UFO. One might lean toward him being an abductee or at most having some sort of experience. He does show a video he took with a FLIR showing a heat signature of what he calls a triangle object he could not see with the naked eye or hear, but his knowledge of the phenomena is too vast for him to have just gotten into the phenomena. He has a degree in sociology and can hit on the things that
make you think, like the selective reality of TV, the news and movies to a little bit of symbology, interestingly enough from Disney. Listening to him speak and having spent all this time, harvesting from within the phenomena for explanations I still want to know more, I would admittedly love to pick his brain. Ben shows clips of the differences between an encounter that may be real and one that could for all intense and purpose be 90% CGI. Of course you need a degree in computer animation to really tell, but there are little things that if you watch enough you can pick up on. He also speaks about how all this new found interest in the media about UFOs could be just to desensitize the public.
"Look into my eyes, What do you see"? 14% of the population believe in UFOs but only 1 in 450 would actually report seeing one. Most would talk about it, usually if someone else starts the conversation, most experiencers just don't trust or know enough about the agencies to actually report such things. So even if they would talk about it, they would never report it. Ufologists ask why and the answer to that question might be, the desensitization of the population. As Ben points out in his lecture, the news, movie industry and television gives the world a perspective from selective reality, to the point where if you were to see a UFO and little green men jumped out and shook your hand you'd probably say hi, shrug and move on. If in fact they are little green men since there are several kinds of aliens reported, Nordics {blonde hair and blue eyes}. The Grays {4 ft tall and gray with long fingers} and the Reptilians {9 ft lizards}.
"The mirror speaks but the reflection lies". If you show a person the picture of a duck ten times and a rabbit on the eleventh they will still claim to see a duck. What would the purpose be in desensitization of the population and why UFOs, if they truly don't exist why waste the time continually trying to disprove anyone who comes forward. I'm not trying to be all black ops or end of the world{even if according to AT&T my phone has a tap they can't lawfully remove} and the subject of desensitization is a vast subject not only limited to UFOs, just look at some of the shows on TV today. One thing to ask yourself when watching anything about UFOs, is it real? Ask questions, if you get no answers step back and look at it again, become involved with an open mind in your local UFO group(s). Those who are trying to desensitize the population have no answers, Ben does put it best when he says, videre non est satis- Sometimes seeing is not enough.
Sure, as with anything you will get those who run around with pictures of rubber grays on their iPhones who think it's cool and funny. It is cool, that one day it will be proven we aren't alone in the universe and that may be the reason behind desensitization. The hangers on, the people who are into UFOs to make money off others stories and pain not really caring, those I have met by the hundreds. I will stand by my feeling that Ben of course is not Mulder, even if that is the frist image that pops into your head when seeing the intro for the show, he is searching, for what, that is his own. Almost all legitimate UFO hunters are searching for answers for some reason and trying to bring some legitimacy to the phenomena, it's TV that push for drama and ratings. Maybe what needs to happen is for believers to finally see what they believe and that may be enough.
Tarot Cards: The Devil's Cards?
 In the late 1700's Eliphas Levi, Who is better known today for his involvement in The Golden Dawn along with Aleister Crowley, but that's not the case. Levi was a Catholic priest, writer, teacher who created the basis for today's most popular tarot deck. Levi studied many other religions, including Jewish, Hindu, Polish, Masonic and Cabalism. He used his background in these and astrology, astronomy and metaphysics to design the first tarot deck and incorporated his religious knowledge into them as a way for his students to learn the elements of nature as the cards represent fire, water, earth and air, spiritual enlightenment and self improvement, there are even references to the bible in some cards. Even Levi's partner in The Golden Dawn created his own tarot cards, The Thoth Deck and they are as with most tarot decks beautiful works of art.
In the 1800's a man named A.E. Waite created the Rider-Waite deck. The Rider-Waite deck is based on the Eliphas Levi deck and was published in 1896. It was widely used in Europe as a card game and the Rider-Waite deck is the most widely used version throughout the world and were extremely popular during World War 1 when introduced to western culture.
The 1990's saw an upturn in the use of tarot cards with the opening of reading rooms with Astrologers, Psychics and Mediums yet still there are those who believe that these cards are the devil's cards, that they are used by soothsayers and therefore evil. I myself own the Thoth tarot deck, carry it with me and was even once fired from a job for just having them in my purse, being called a witch, My first thought was Where is the stake literally. I learned how to read tarot while living in Italy in the 90's from some gypsies and I do pretty good at it, for myself and a small handful of friends/family I read for and if that makes me a witch in some people's eyes so be it, they fear what they do not understand.
The tarot are not evil nor used for an evil purpose, tarot are for learning about oneself or helping others on their journey, to assist in making decisions or helping others see that what they thought might be what they needed is being told by the energy they surround the cards with during a reading. Having tarot cards or having them read shouldn't be feared but the old saying, There is nothing to fear but fear itself . If having a tarot reading benefits someone follow their destined course why is that feared.
Now, you might be asking yourself, How do I get a tarot deck? First you have to go to a shop that has a wide verity of decks to choose from. Don't touch the decks, if they are not on a table or in a rack ask if you can have a few decks laid out for you. Stand in front of the decks and feel for the energy. You do not chose the cards, they chose you. The cards that are right for you will talk to you, just like when picking stones to work with. Once the deck has found you hold it in your hand and feel the box, maybe take out the first few cards and run your fingers over them or shuffle them and see if they feel natural in your hand you will know they are the cards for you.
Reading tarot is not easy to learn and the information given should never be given to subjects lightly. I have met lots of people who take the guidance of the cards as a serious business so never give that guidance lightly. Never use your personal tarot deck to do readings for others, always keep two separate decks. Anytime someone else touches your cards they leave energy behind on your cards which may be picked up by the next person you read for thus giving an awkward reading.
If you fear or doubt the tarot, remember what Teddy Roosevelt once said, The only limit to our realizations of tomorrow will be our doubts of today.
The Winter Solstice: The Backbone of World Religious Celebrations
Many today still call the celebration of the Winter Solstice a pagan ritual full of sex, and while a bit of that is true, they don't realize that the ritual that is Christmas is in itself drawn largely from the ancient ritual that celebrated the earth's tilting on its axis, where the daytime hours are weaned to a minimum and the night is longer in the northern hemisphere {in the southern hemisphere it's the opposite}. In 2007, the Winter Solstice takes place on December 22 at 6:09.
Also called Saturnalia, Yule, the Long Night, and by most, Christmas, the Winter Solstice has a long and varied history. In prehistoric times, winter was seen as a very difficult time. Tribes had to live off whatever they could store and the animals they could catch. The months were long and very cold and the Aboriginal peoples had the belief that as the sun sank lower at noon, they would be left in total darkness. But spring and warmer weather would always return, thus the idea of birth, death, and re-birth was born. The Aboriginal people were able to notice the slight elevation in the sun's path within days after the solstice, perhaps before December 25th, even without the advanced instruments and equipment used today, hence celebrations were timed about the 25th.
History of the Winter Solstice has been found as far back as the ancient Egyptians, who believed in a god-man and later, a savior. Osiris died and was entombed on December 21st; the passage reading, At midnight , the priests emerged from an inner shrine crying, the virgin has brought fourth! The light is waxing and showing and image of a baby to the worshippers.
In Ancient Greece, winter solstice became known as the ritual Lenaea, The Festival of Wild Women. In the ancient times a man would represent the harvest god Dionysus, who was torn to pieces and eaten by a gang of women only on this day. Later in the same ritual, Dionysus was reborn as a baby. By classical Greece the human sacrifice had been replaced by a goat and the women where funeral mourners and observers of the birth.
Ancient Rome also had their version of the winter solstice, called Saturnalia; this is the festival where many today still believe, because of the rather smudged history of the Winter Solstice, that the entire celebration is about sex. At about 50 BCE in Rome, Saturnalia began as a feast day for Saturn on December 17th and Ops on December 19th. Later, both were converted into a two day celebration, and during the empire the festivals were combined to cover the whole week from December 17 to the 23rd.
By the third century CE within the Roman Empire, most celebrated the birth of their god-man on or near the time of the solstice. It was the Emperor Aurelian who was responsible for the blending of a number of the pagan solstice celebrations of the nativity of god-men/saviors such as, Apollo, Attis, Baal, Dionysus, Helios, Hercules, Horus, Mithra, Osiris, Perseus, and Theseus, to name a few, into one single eventful festival named, The Birthday of the Unconquered Sun on, yep you guessed it, December 25th. However, also during that time, Mithraism and Christianity were rather fierce competitors. Aurelian declared Mithraism the official religion of the Roman Empire in 274 BCE, and Christianity became the official religion of the Empire in the 4th century BCE.
Even Buddhism celebrates the Winter Solstice, sort of. In Buddhism the day is known as Bodhi Day {Rohatsu), and is celebrated on December 8th or on the Sunday immediately preceding. Rohatsu recalls the day in 596 BCE, when it is believed that Buddha achieved enlightenment. He had left his family and all possessions at the age of 29 and sought out the meaning of life. He sat under a papal tree and vowed to stay until he found what he was looking for. On the eighth day he came to realize that everyone suffers due to ignorance, and ignorance can be overcome by following the Eightfold Path, which he advocated. This day is now regarded as the birth of Buddhism, where Buddha achieved enlightenment and escaped the endless cycle of birth, death, and rebirth through reincarnation, the same themes observed in many other religions in December.
The lost record of the birth of Yeshua of Nazareth, who was later known as Jesus Christ, talked about the birth of the savior of Christianity, although it is said there is sufficient evidence in the Gospels to indicate Yeshua was born in the fall, which seems to be unknown to the early Christians. Beginning in the 4th century BCE, the interest in choosing a day to celebrate Yeshua's birthday was intense. Western church leaders chose December 25th mainly because this date was already recognized throughout the Roman Empire as the birthday of the various celebrated pagan gods, and since there was no central Christian authority at the time, after some centuries the tradition had become universally accepted, but many of the symbols associated with the old pagan solstice remain in the Christian version.
Holly, ivy, mistletoe, the Yule log, giving of gifts, a decorated evergreen tree, magical reindeer, mummeries, and stage plays, all of which are ancient disorders in use now by the Christian Christmas, were derived from the Roman pagan Saturanilan and Bacchanalian festivals. The eastern churches began celebrating Christmas after 375 BCE. The churches of Jerusalem began in the 7th century, Ireland in the 5th century, with Austria, England, and Switzerland hopping in the 8th century. The Slavic lands jumped on the Christmas train in the 9th and 10th centuries. Religions all over the world have their Winter Solstice celebrations. The Druids, Inca, Muslim, Native Americans. In Iran the celebration is known as Shabe-Yalda, which has its roots in the ancient religion, Zoroastrianism, and was the state religion which preceded the religion now known as Islam. Shabe-Yalda refers to the birthday or rebirth of the sun. Followers gather at home around a korsee, {a low, square table} all night telling stories and reading poetry. The meal consists of watermelon, pomegranates, and a special mix of dried fruits and nuts, and bonfires are lit outside.
In Judaism, the eight day festival of Hanukkah, also known as the Feast of Lights is celebrated, and recalls the war fought between the Maccabees for religious freedom. In 2nd century BC, Antiochus, then the King of Syria, conquered Judea and terminated worship in the temple after stealing the scared lamp, the menorah at the altar. Later, at the time of the solstice, they re-dedicated the temple to a pagan deity. Judah the Maccabee led rebels to succeed in retaking Jerusalem, thus restoring the temple, and lit the menorah. Exactly three years after the flame was extinguished at the time of the pagan rite.
They had only found enough consecrated oil to last 24 hours, but the flame burned steady for eight days. Even though the modern menorah has nine branches, Hanukkah lasts eight days, the ninth branch is for the Shamash {servant light} used to light the other candles. In celebration to give thanks for the miracle in the temple long ago, celebrators eat potato latkes {pancakes made with potato, eggs, onions and milk, fried and served with apple sauce}, exchange gifts and play dreidel games.
So as the Winter Solstice once again is upon planet Earth, look to where your celebration may have come from. Look to others in this time of Christmas and see, we are all celebrating the same season. Everyone may not celebrate in the same way but we are all celebrating birth, death and rebirth in our own unique way. A way that our ancient forefathers saw coming thousands of years ago as they huddled in caves watching over their food stores waiting for the snow to melt and the warmth of spring to return. May your observance be merry and happy.
Paranormal Reality
When it comes to the world of the paranormal what exactly is reality?
It´s always said buyer beware and that goes for the modern "reality" TV, Watcher beware.
This article will probably piss off a lot of people but maybe it will make some think. The possibility that the super popular paranormal tv shows could be faked, Or at least……enhanced to boost ratings and keep the viewer enthralled.
It was interesting to turn on the tv one night and find a "reality" show about ghosts,
Ghost hunting and spirits. Something that was usually just whispered about and most thinking
of anyone willing to admit the belief in ghosts were nuts.
Today there are no less than ten Ghost themed shows airing across several cable tv stations, SyFy being the largest conisussuer of paranormal programming with Ghost Hunters, Ghost Hunters International, Fact or Faked, Destination Truth, and some new paranormal shows coming in 2013 like Josh Gates fan anticipated Stranded, where a group of people are dumped in a haunted location and presumably have to investigate their way out, interesting premise but….I´ll withhold thoughts since there was a show years ago on Discovery Channel that did the exact thing, how is this going to be different?
Since the premiere of Ghost Hunters the amount of Ghost Hunting groups has nearly tripled in each city. The amount of Hunted locations has at least tripled and when a location appears on one of these paranormal shows their ability to rent the location out to make big bucks off those fans who want to capture activity and meet someone from the show{s} doubles.
Now, sit back and take a deep breath and for a moment think about the movie, Paranormal Activity. Yeah, now get mad because the serious fact is, just how many of these locations have actual real Paranormal activity?
Being a fan of shows like Ghost Hunters doesn´t mean you must believe everything that pops up or is "caught". Think of the producer of these "reality" shows as sci-fi movie directors. Someone who for all intense and purpose want to, nay must keep the ratings up to remain afloat in the ever changing land of television and ghosts are hot right now.
I´m not in anyway saying there are no haunted locations, that people don´t have hauntings, That there aren´t real people out there investigating to help people. I myself have been involved in the odd paranormal research over the years. Something most of these new, heavily tattooed and pierced Hollywood ghost hunters won´t tell you, a real hardcore haunting is hard to come by.
Those stories you hear about someone being attacked by a spirit, seeing a black mass, being pushed, bit, scratched etc…..are far more random then tv would like you to believe.
I guess it´s good that it´s mainstream and maybe someone who charges twelve-
thousand dollars to appear at a convention knows a little about getting ideas into the mainstream, but then again, it could also call into question the supposed valid paranormal activity. I had a shaman once tell me, anyone who charges any fee to call on the spirits is a fake.
In this age of we want it now and anything goes reality tv, maybe there is good reason to question what you see and go back to the old adage, if you don´t see it with your own eyes or hear it with your own ears it didn´t happen, by that I´m not saying these shows aren´t entertaining but when people start taking a tv show as gospel something is wrong and they don´t call it scripted reality for nothing.
Investigating
Over the years I have run across, met, worked with some amazing people in the paranormal world.  I'll admit some are completely full of shit and are only in it for money & or fame not the science of actually trying to explain or help the spirits or the clients.
I've studied various way of investigating, from just researching a location and clients, doing psychological reports on the clients, interviewing to all out investigating using various equipment and also antagonizing entities and spirits, which is something I do not recommend.
I have found the best way to investigate a location is, if you yourself have never been there and had any sort of experience(s) there is to just sit back and let the person or people who have do it for you.
Think about it, if you have never been to the location before and are investigating off what you have been told about it you are pretty much going in half cocked.  You really don't know the extent of what goes on there.  You are not who the entity/spirit responds to.
I like to interview the witnesses, do my own sort of mini investigation.  Set up the equipment then let the client do the work.  Ok, Ok, some may not think this is a good way of being "scientific" but really it is.  That is exactly what being scientific is, set up the equipment and watch as the client has their experience(s).
There was a huge case I believe in the 70's,  where the woman claimed she was visited by a Incubus each night. That woman from the house (the 2nd she lived in & had the same experience). Placed her in a sealed lab room and recorded her experience. It was turned into a movie, The Entity, which was based on a true story and on the book, written by Frank Defelitta and published in 1978. Defelitta's book detailed the purported experiences of Doris Bither in Culver City, California.  Bither was battered and raped repeatedly by unseen forces, ghosts or demons intent on harassing and abusing her.  Is the Entity a true portrayal of events? Paranormal investigators witnessed first hand strange phenomena that convinced them that something was going on, but what.  Was it all reflexes to something imagined or was an entity actually doing the things she said.
We will never know unless there is more actual scientific investigations.  I know that it would be more than boring to watch a show like Ghost Adventures for mere scientific purpose, I mean Zak Bagans wouldn't take his shirt off....or would he.  I for one would love nothing more than to see a show devoted to watching an actual client on hidden camera as they experience the spirit activity in their environment.
It would once and for all possibly answer the question(s) as to if it is real or made up in someone's psyche, then again, you never know what you might capture on cameras that are running 24/7 for a week.
8/19/2014 Garage Investigation
So I decided to try investigating in the garage after getting out of the car yesterday and hearing a little girl's voice.
I set up a couple things, a Homedics sound machine, which is my low rent version of a SB7 Spirit Box since I can't really afford a real one.
A magnetic pendulum ball which it is said spirits can move using the magnetic energy.
The ball shook very lightly for a short time during the tape, you can barely see it but the funny thing was not the ball moving, it was the words captured on the Ghost Radar iPhone app,
Printed
Pond
Hospital
Slight
Hard
Jones
The funny word was upon asking the spirit to move the ball it asks for Cookies. So the question becomes since we all know kids love cookies is the spirit that of a little girl or is it something older/bigger using the voice of a little girl to get attention?
The other two words near the end of the tape were,
When I told the spirit not to be a creeper and creep up behind me it says, Didn't and when I felt the hair on my left arm stand up I make note of the spirit and it says, Attach. That is were I ended the taping for the time being.
Link to video http://youtu.be/K87nXbjWwfg
The important part is not really that I got any captures it's that I got responses to things I said or questions I asked which in turn signifies intelligent spirits/hauntings.  I know some disagree, but, oh well, nothing I can do if they get nothing.
8/16/2014 Investigation
So, I thought I would do a little experiment and use the Ghost Adventures show and Zak Bagans voice.   Since they have said the spirits don't like them I thought maybe if I did an investigation while one of the shows were on and see what happens.
I started by sitting on the couch watching Ghost Adventures with the Ghost Radar app on my iPhone on and it was giving some pretty good words.  Stronger, Element.  Well, with that I got the video camera and figured I'd tape these words.  As soon as I started taping the word was Feed and I told the spirits they could not feed on me, sure enough my video went dead, it was a fully charged battery and in less than a second it was black.
I took the camera and iPhone into my office and started again after plugging the camera into the charger (video here http://youtu.be/4lW2NX0y66c ).
Photo of burn mark available.
There wasn't a whole lot of activity so I tried getting a little more aggressive by telling the spirits to knock, what's wrong, you're being rude.......the last word for the night, when I said show me you're here was, Fine!
I felt a very cold feeling go down my left side, from the shoulder to the knee, the hair was standing on end then suddenly it felt like someone touched my left elbow with a live electrical wire, over and over.  Pretty sure the spirit thought that was funny because as soon as I said stop, it did.
I feel like I got run over by a bus this morning and it's weird that with the small amount of energy from the video camera battery that a spirit can do that or was it drawing energy from other things in the room.
I know it looks funny and I laughed afterward but it really felt painful.
The Night and Black Entities
So, I have gotten pretty used to seeing the dark/black entities who peek out from around corners and the occasional one who will try to stand in front of me and challenge me but last night was super weird.
I was coming home from work and what had been a very quiet night turned upside down I an instant when a women who'd been stabbed in the neck by her boyfriend came in.  Well, On the drive home I turned into our parko (Italian for group of houses) and movement drew my eye to the right side of the car as I slowly went around the corner toward the house.
It was a black mass, but this wasn't just a mass of black or darkness this looked like it was a flowing cape, like it was riding something but there was nothing under it.  It was just flying.  It came up and over the one group of houses, dipped down into the dry lake area used for overflow in winter and back up over the next group of houses.
I'm not sure what it was doing.  The woman in the ER survived so, what this mass was doing flying around the area is really weird.
But over the last month I've seen more than the share of black masses/entities I want to see.  Since the construction company has started digging/building for the new homes on the court side of the parko.
Seeing this didn't scare me, I more wanted to get out of the car and see if it came at me but it being after midnight in a bad hood, I didn't want to get out.
Now, that said black masses and entities aren't always demons.  It usually signals negative energy
and this mass was one hell of a lot of negative energy.  Had this thing looked at me with red eyes I would have been out of the car like a flash, even in a war zone.
Weird Experience
As a kid my Mother taught me how to meditate in order to remain calm on airplanes as we travelled a LOT and were on and off planes quite a bit, some places weren't as hospitable as the USA.
I have always known about astral projection and have even experienced it twice in my entire life.  That's because the meditation it takes to get your astral body or energy to leave the physical body is a tough nut to crack and it's always said anyone attempting to reach the astral plane should never be woken or touched in anyway because if you somehow break the tether to the physical body the spirit dies.
I recently had the weirdest experience.  There has only been one person (who shall forever remain nameless) that has appeared to me in astral form and it was done as an experiment for this person to see if they could do it. I saw that all that is said about seeing someone on their astral form is in fact like time stands still for a spilt second, and a second for a peek is all you get.
I was at work last week and it was a rather busy night, I wasn't thinking about too much and mind you you can not enter into the astral plane while wide awake so......keep that in mind.
I came around the corner and for a spilt second all time stopped.  I could not hear or see anything but this person standing at the counter, looking directly at me ( I will never tell who it was, that person knows).  I could not move and it felt like I had been enveloped in some sort of extremely calm energy.
I can not tell you how fast this was, within the blink of an eye it all stopped and this person was gone. No, I am not in the least bit crazy.
My question is now, can the living astral project to "see" what they want to.  I have been told if you want an answer and meditate on it.  I mean then the question, why would someone want to find me LOL
Just one of the weird things people involved in the Occultist world can do and I say that because everyone I have met who can do this was an Occultist.
It's funny because the actual experience didn't throw/scare me, the reasoning behind it is what throws me.
A Paranormal Counselor
Most people tend to not understand being  sensitive.  How you go about talking to the dead.  Well, I don't talk to them every single day and I usually nine times out of ten do not get to choose when/if they speak, wish I did.  I would get a lot deeper/more sleep if it were my choice.
Like I've said before my first experience of talking to the dead was at four years old and it came and went until I was fourteen, since the age of fourteen I haven't had much choice, except when my father passed away.  I lost all ability to sense anything for about two years, which was very weird and why I have no clue.
I meditated, asked questions, used all the tools I was taught and nothing. It was a strange thing but....Now it's over and they come calling again.   I have spirits talking almost constantly, like they are lining up at the door and constantly chatter.  Every once in a while one will speak louder.
I call myself a "paranormal counselor" because for many years as I tried to figure out what was going on there was no one except shaman who could try to explain it.  Now I like to try to put myself out there because as someone who isn't involved in an investigative team I'm not likely to know anything about the cases or clients.
I have people who contact me and I ONLY work by referral from a paranormal team/group that I know and can investigate before taking a case. I do require that one member of the referring team be present (because you know the story).  I do not require to know what the teams thoughts are ie: if it is demon activity, poltergeist etc... I will require to now if anyone in the location is under psychiatric care/takes medications, if there have been any sort of what might be mental breaks, threats to members of the location by living and that sort of thing and all interviews are videotaped.
You ask, what does a paranormal counselor do?
I am mainly a resource for clients.  I may be a sensitive but I can investigate as well and have.  I can direct those who are having problems to investigators I know will do the right thing because you can't just pick up the phone and call the ghost adventure crew LOL
I will assist with cleansing (which we will talk about another time).  The use of various objects, crystals and the like.  I assist mentally/spiritually and will assist in trying everything we can in order for the client to remain in their home/business.  I teach how to sage, salt. About oils, stone work and sometimes speak with the spirits to try to figure out what their needs/wants are.
As much as I would love to help everyone I can only work by referral from a known paranormal investigative team.  No, I do not charge and I can not guarantee the avenues we take to assist will help but it may give a better idea of what's going on.
It's a weird thing but after years of trying to solve my own hauntings, attachment, encounters and not getting help or having so called investigators never return calls, never show up or tell me without photos, video/evp they can't do anything I learned on my own and pay it forward as I have been taught by the shaman who taught me.
The Equipment to Chase Demons
Ok, so you wanna be a ghost hunter.  What's the first thing you do?
Spend a few hundred on a spirit box? Buy some rem pods? Get that cool new computer program that shows spirits in stick figure. (which is actually pretty cool) and break into the local, about to be demolished nut house.
Sure all of the electronic equipment in the world can help you verify, record and show spirit activity or an actual spirit. Orbs, Mists, cold spots (if you want to invest something like 1,900 to 20k on a thermal).  Better make sure you add lots of extra batteries to the list because most of that equipment can get sucked dry quick enough.
I always like to tell people, if you can't get in touch with your feelings then you aren't going to catch spirits, period.  Because there is nothing that can gage a room like YOU.
Your body can detect the temperature changes in a room much faster, easier than any thermal imaging camera, the camera is just the product by which you show proof. But there are other ways your body detects spirit activity.
Your eyes can actually adjust to the darkness enough to make out shadows, movement. The hair on your arms/neck is a long standing way of sensing electrical changes in a location.
I'm a firm believer that you do not need all the fancy stuff to hunt.  All you really need are the guts to make it through the night in some locations.
You need the guts to use your body.  I'm not all for allowing the spirits to use your energy in order to manifest because there are ways you can get them to without that and the reason is, you can end up severely drained and unable to fight off a demon if one is hanging back.  Demons will usually use lower spirits to get hold of you.  Once you allow these lower entities to take control, they sap the energy so you can not fight back, thus allowing the demon or other entity to take hold. I've seen the Ghost Adventures Crew do this on more than one occasion and I usually yell at the TV about how nuts they are but....having been in that scenario, it's a hella rush and you better be able to get whatever it is to back off.
I personally use the old fashioned stuff.  Crystals, Oils, Salt, Sage, spells, chants, depending on the type of spirit/demon you want to invoke to your location.  I even have a spirit box.  I use a twenty dollar homedics sound maker from Wal-Mart set on white noise and I'll tell you, I HAVE gotten some pretty good EVPs from it.  Although, I must admit I'd love to use a spirit box, seems so much easier to tell what's being said.
How does the old stuff do the job?
Well, you are pretty much relying on your body as your number one tool and I advocate learning
how to use your body because when push comes to shove your body/mind is what's going to take the beating.
I will always stand by the fact that in the real world of the paranormal it is not like tv and you need to know how to defend yourself.  An exorcism isn't always going to work and it should be one of the last things you try because in a true possession an exorcism can kill someone.  Make friends of the Witches/Warlocks, The Satanists, The God Fearing, like the old saying goes, keep your friends close but your enemies closer, the demon is your enemy and all the fancy equipment in the world will only document your ass kicking.
Being more open by eating & living more healthy
I'm often asked, why do you eat that it looks gross.  Well, I was eating a caprese sandwich and to some that might look gross, it's not.
But for sensitives it is important to not eat junk food, if you can help it.  Junk food is so prevalent in US society and it is hard to get all natural, unless you grow it yourself.  Processed foods are not only bad for you if you aren't a sensitive they are really bad if you are.
Why?
Because your body is not made to process overly processed foods. It blocks your natural energy, your Chi.  Too much sugar (which carbs become sugar) which is processed by your liver and excreated by the kidneys causes kidney stones and a fatty liver.  Plain and simple, most doctors will not get into this with you and I have run across very few dieticians who don't call lunch a slim fast and a cigarette.
I've found that if I eat any fast food I become very sluggish, my brain and body do not pick up on the feelings I need to pick up on in order to sense the spirits.  Ok, Ok some might say, have a big mac to shut them up.  I could but, after years of eating healthy and even going so far as to grown my own stuff (not meat)it's hard for my body to eat even white, processed sugar.  It doesn't know what to do.
The cleaner, more healthy you eat the more open to the spirits you become.
Exercise is also very important.  I target cardio and muscles.  I also do pilates, which help me meditate during the exercises because I'm focused on what the muscles feel like.  Running for an hour on the treadmill helps clear my head. I'm not saying you have to run or run for an hour, I had to work myself up to running and I still have people look at me funny.
If you are going to chase/hunt demons or any kind of spirits you seriously need to have the mental, physical, and spiritual awareness of what is going on and that starts with knowing your own body and sex is a whole other thing.
I get ask a lot and I guess a lot of people wonder and are comfortable asking LOL What about sex?
Well, you can have sex but the more involved in the spirit world you get the less important sex becomes.  I've heard that many who go through the "change" as I've heard it called become less concerned with having sex but if you are in a good relationship with someone who either is also involved or has a very good understanding the sex is better than ever.  You are able to "feel" more of what comes down to emotion.
You aren't having sex and crying, you are just more in tune to what is going on.  It becomes deeper and has more meaning.  I have been told that abstaining from sex and meditating for a number of days before an investigation opens you up more and I have found this to be true.  It may not be true for everyone but then again I learned to meditate in Nepal.
If you are serious about spirits and knowing their realm you have to be willing to walk the line between the living and the dead.  Not be dead or dying but understand how to open yourself to that world.  Doing so, I've witnessed shaman call/contact spirits from other places not just where they are.  Like dying, living is a process and you can contact the dead, you just have to be willing to do the work and not act like it's a dog & pony show.
Spirit Energy & the Dead
I've worked in healthcare for almost 20 years, in mostly an emergency room setting.  I've seen more than my share of people die.
It's a rough business and people always ask, how do you handle it and I always say. I leave it at the back door.  On the drive home I crank up the music, sing or car dance to let it go.
We do everything we can to save human life.  Does the energy change in the room when the person passes. You bet it does.  It's becomes such a heavy atmosphere of sadness, grief and not understanding.  We don't know how to do everything and sometimes the body just stops.
It's hard to explain.  It's not an atmosphere for everyone and like hunting spirits It can be depressing if you let it.  I'm not saying it doesn't effect  us because it does, on many levels but we have to distance ourselves from the feelings.
I've been told by any number of boyfriends and just friends that I am cold and distant sometimes.  Well, sorry I'll agree with that, I can be.  When you are on top of a gurney doing chest compressions for 10-15-30 minutes and nothing helps the person passes away you learn to except we all have our time.  Our number is in a book somewhere and what you do in this life is what matters.
You have to make this life count to you, what others think  about you or how you live is their opinion and everyone has one.  I learned to live and be happy with myself and my gift.  It is SO SO very hard to work in an environment where there is the chance to deal directly with the dead fresh everyday and there have been times when a newly dead spirit has tried to jump me at work.
There was once where I was working the psych unit, I was leaving working after a 12 hour shift, standing and waiting at the elevator, alone when all of a sudden this black mass came at me, enveloping me. I yelled at it to get off me while it laughed.  I jumped into the elevator and I swear to this day, it stood right at the door, like it couldn't go any farther laughing at me.
The next day one of the nurses asked me what happened, I told her and she laughed and told me I'd met so and so.  He had been a patient and hated everyone and would do that if he could get close enough to someone.  So I learned to carry my bag of chrystals, meditate and find ways to explain spirits.  Why are they here, why can some see/feel them and others can't.  Are we born to be sensitive to the afterlife?
The Berserkers & Chaos
The human type Berserker is known from Norse legends.  The soldiers who would work themselves into such a frenzy they just killed.  Soaked in blood and half dead themselves they would keep going.
Paranormal Berserkers are sort of them only they are spirits.  They can be spirits from psych patients whose energy was so messed up they died insane.  That energy just remains chaotic.
The feeling one gets from the chaotic spirit is one of flashes of energy. Like that of a lighting strike, fast and furious and that's the way it's suppose to be.  That's how the human berserkers got their name. There are also legend of berserkers who can change form, they work themselves up so much they can change into a wolf.
That is what's know as a Mental Shifter.  Now, there are several forms of shifters out there.
The paranormal is a lot deeper than any TV show glosses over. It can be a very dangerous place and once you see one of these shifter do their work or watch berserkers energy flow through a location you might think nothing can scare you.
You'd be wrong........
Mental Shifter is someone who can throw energy in your direction and make you see what they see. It's a pretty awesome thing to do, learn but it takes a hard shell, the energy can throw you off balance quite a bit.
There are Shape Shifters, people who you see as human one moment and another form the next.  They aren't actually changing form but allowing you to see who/what they are in spirit form.  This is what a true demon uses to mask what they are.  True demons use this tactic and usually appear as a small child, something innocent to gain your trust.
The types of berserker varies as well.  You can have just the energy the living expels from being in such an insane state that they are just berserk.
There is the pure energy that is known as a berserkers.  Now this is just, again a chaotic spirit who just passed away because that is usually when the berserk energy happens.
Then there is what a Witch/Warlock can throw at you, there are several different types of Chaos energy.  They can call a Chaos sprite, something that can be found all over Europe.  Or just your plain old Chaos spell.  This spell makes you feel like you are out of it, off balance.  You can not figure out why you just feel like shit.
This spell can only last a short amount of time and is usually used to throw someone off and forget they came in contact with a witch/warlock or saw them doing something, like shift.
A chaos spell should actually never be used against the living, it can cause heart attacks, mental breaks and other side effects.  The Chaos spell is firmly to dispatch a naughty or evil spirit. It causes an energy break within the spirits energy.  When used properly you may actually see something akin to lighting.  It will be fast bursts of light, disorganized so not in balls/orbs, although a witch can throw balls of light.
These are things, if you are a true sensitive must learn to work through and they are all possible not only in your daily contacts with the living but anytime you walk into a location.
A Soul Session
Now right off the bat I'm gonna say, a soul session is ONLY for those who are highly interested and knowledgeable about the paranormal.  Those who have tried and failed to experience it on the higher levels.
It can hurt, it can scar you and it can feel like the spirits are messing with you BUT.....that is the purpose.  It is to teach you how to tell the difference between a spirit simply trying to touch you or trying to jump you.
It is meant to teach you how to safely call the spirits and how to dispel the spirits and how to protect yourself from the evil entities.
There are very few sensitives who will or who are even willing to assist in this, I'm one...of course. I rarely assist in a soul session unless I have a sincere belief the person asking me for the assistance is willing to go the whole nine yards because it is not, NOT an easy process.
Soul sessions will help keep you from breaking, emotionally.  They teach you how to combat the spirits energy but how to use yours to help them.  It is a draining weekend, you will be mentally forced to deal with the dark, negative, emotional things that are deep within you and/or the dark things that follow you.
I will say right now before anyone tried to contact me to do this.  It is NOT done over the internet, phone, Skype, e-mail.  It is done in person, I do not charge and before you even think about doing this you need to be mentally & emotionally ready to deal with your shit and let go of all of it.
You can have the dark and the light if you are willing.
Let's Get Electrocuted..
Ok, so maybe not literally electrocuted.  I'm often asked what it feels like when a spirit is around.
The only way I can explain it is, the room feels like it's got an electrostatic charge running through it.
If you walk into a room and hold your hand out you can feel the energy, or should be able to if the spirit(s) is active at the time.
Now, there are ways to charge a room if you aren't getting anything.  Lemon water, certain crystals can charge the energy.  Just like batteries and electronic devices get sapped but the lemon water provides the spirit clarity.  The water you use is also important, you should use distilled water but I have turned to using Ionized water which has been working wonders.
If you are a sensitive you will be able to feel the change in the room.  It should feel like the room has become a giant battery but the air in the room feels like it's become humid, not hot humid but bone chilling cold humid.  If you have never experienced this, you'll understand when you do.
You have to be careful because I have heard of instances where the sensitive has felt they were actually electrocuted.  What happens is the amount of energy you produce is going to flow through you as well as give any spirit(s) the energy they need to communicate better but you are a living, breathing human made up of mostly water, and what happens when you stand in a puddle of water and grab ahold of anything electrical?
Yep, a big ol' zap.
You should always wear rubber soled shoes and have others with you just in case.  Not only do you not know what you will pull into the location but you don't know what it's capable of with the energy.
Can this be done outside as well?  Yes, it can be it just has to be a very defined space.
I do not and never recommend anyone doing this without the proper tools and knowledge.  It takes a lot of meditation training, set-up and the proper mixtures but you must also have the proper defenses, to defend against anything you call, because plain and simple this is spirit calling.
